Bill Callahan (born June 3, 1966) is an American singer-songwriter, who has also recorded and performed under the band name Smog. [5] [6] Callahan began working in the lo-fi genre, with home-made tape-albums recorded on four-track tape recorders. [7] . Later he began releasing albums with the label Drag City, to which he remains signed today. [8]
Gold Record is a studio album by American musician Bill Callahan, released on September 4, 2020, by independent record label Drag City. It is the seventh studio album released under his own name, and eighteenth overall when including studio albums released as Smog.
8 de oct. de 2020 · En sus inicios su banda Smog fue pionera indiscutible del sonido Lo-Fi, grabando casetes caseros en casa, un hazlo tú mismo marcado. La banda, además de por ese sonido Lo-Fi, destacaba por la realización de de un folk contemporáneo con tintes extremos de slowcore, dotando a su discografía de introspección y pesimismo mayormente.
Smog (banda) Bill Callahan ( Silver Spring, Maryland, 3 de junio de 1966 ), también conocido como Smog, es un músico estadounidense, pionero del género lo-fi, el cual nace a partir del rock alternativo. Comenzó grabando temas en cintas de casetes en su propia casa y más tarde fichó por el sello discográfico Drag City .
