Stir Fried is the brain child of singer, songwriter, guitarist Johnny Markowski. The son of the brilliant songwriter, producer and recording artist Thomas Jefferson Kaye , Johnny continues a strong musical connection with “Tommy” Kaye, as well as his own musical creative journey.

Shortly after the death of Spencer Dryden, a reconstituted line-up of the New Riders began touring in late 2005. It features David Nelson and Buddy Cage, alongside guitarist Michael Falzarano, bassist Ronnie Penque, and drummer Johnny Markowski.
It features new songs written by David Nelson and Robert Hunter, Michael Falzarano, Johnny Markowski, and Ronnie Penque. The band continues to grow braking out new songs on every tour while staying true to the legacy that was started over 40 years ago by John Dawson and Jerry Garcia.
