Vampire Princess Miyu (Japanese: 吸血姫 （ ヴァンパイア ） 美夕, Hepburn: Vanpaia Miyu) is a Japanese horror manga series by Narumi Kakinouchi and Toshiki Hirano, as well as an anime adaptation by the same creators.
Vampire Princess Miyu (吸血姫 美夕, Vanpaia Miyu?, Miyu, la princesa vampiro) es un manga de horror japonés que comenzó Narumi Kakinouchi en el año 1988 sacando un solo tomo y que continuó en el año 1998 junto a su marido, Toshiki Hirano. En 1988, fue adaptada a cuatro OVAs y en 1997 a una serie de anime de veintiséis episodios.
Miyu is a Guardian, a vampire whose destiny is to hunt down stray shinma (demons, shapeshifters, vampires) and send them back into the darkness from whence they originated. Unlike the TV Series, the Vampire Princess Miyu OVA has a secondary lead character in Spiritualist Himiko.
Miyu (美夕) also known as Miyu Yamano (山野 美夕 Yamano Miyu), is a beautiful girl who appears to be 13 or 14 years old but in fact is much older, being a vampire. Even though she is a vampire, Miyu isn't harmed by sunlight, holy water or crucifixes, and her reflection can be seen.
