Aaron Pitkin. Hope Nicholls (born January 1960) is an American singer-songwriter from Charlotte, North Carolina. She was the lead vocalist of the alternative rock bands Fetchin Bones, Sugarsmack and Snagglepuss. She also briefly toured with Martin Atkins ' band Pigface in support of its album Fook.

From 1983-1990. Formed in Charlotte in 1983, Fetchin Bones pioneered an eclectic, original sound by blending rock, punk, funk, country, blues, and grunge. This Grammy-nominated, genre-busting, alternative group sprang from Hope Nicholls and Aaron Pitkin’s mutual adoration of music and their love of diverse musical styles.

Fetchin Bones and the dynamic idiosyncratic married-couple power-team of vocalist Hope Nicholls and guitarist Aaron Pitkin should be on any list of great North Carolina music-makers. Nicholls, 56, and Pitkin, 55, haven’t really stopped making music together since they met at Warren Wilson College, just outside of Asheville, in the fall of 1981.
