Christine von Dohnanyi (née Bonhoeffer; 26 October 1903 – 2 February 1965) was the sister of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and the wife of Hans von Dohnányi. [1] [2]

Decades later, this day is still very much present for Susanne; as her memoirs constitute an important primary source of information on that event, I quote them in full:
