We've just learned that McKinley "Bug" Williams, longtime percussionist for Maze, has died of an apparent heart attack. The Philadelphia-born Williams was a life long friend of group lead Frankie Beverly and formed Maze with Beverly following the transition out of a group called the Butlers.

A man from the band that kept DC in the groove for over 30 years. Not to mention my personal Number #1 Favorite Band of All Time. Williams passed away September 3, 2011 due to a heart attack.
