Slaid Cleaves delivers his first official live recording, a two disc set filled with audience favorites, recorded in stripped-down acoustic style at the legendary Horseshoe Lounge in Austin, Texas. In 2000, Slaid wound up releasing 'Horseshoe Lounge,' an ode to the 46 year-old beer joint, on his breakout CD 'Broke Down'.

While his music is melodic and well-constructed, his lyrics are the focal point of the album. He tells stories about ordinary people, drinking, love, loss, plus he provides political and social commentary.
