Die Kreuzen (/ˈdiːˈkɹɔɪtsn̩/) is an American rock band from Rockford, Illinois formed in 1981. Shortly after, they relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The name, which was taken from a German Bible, is grammatically incorrect German for "the crosses". [1]

Milwaukee's Die Kreuzen was a rare indie act in the late eighties whose sound mutated greatly from album to album. On "Century Days," Die Kreuzen adopted a more conventional pop approach to songwriting, eschewing the groundbreaking slowcore dissonance of "October File" and their radical re-invention of hardcore on their stellar debut.
