David Attwooll (22 April 1949 [1] – 5 August 2016) [2] [3] was a British poet and publisher. He also played drums, performing in an early incarnation of the avant-rock group Henry Cow . Biography. Attwooll was born in 1949 in Twickenham, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, to Derek Attwooll, a civil engineer, and Dorothy Hunt Attwooll.

David Attwooll, Poetry Society Member, poet and chair of Liverpool University Press, has died at the age of 67 after succumbing to Erdheim-Chester Disease. David’s first full collection of poetry, The Sound Ladder, was published in April 2015 by Two Rivers Press.
