Armored Saint is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1982. Phil Sandoval is the guitarist and one of the founding members of the band, along with his brother Gonzo Sandoval on drums.

Years active: 1982-1992, 1999-2003, 2006-present. Phil Sandoval left during the recordings of the Delirious Nomad album. The band continued as a four-piece until Alan Barlam briefly joined and was shortly replaced by Jeff Duncan. Drummer Gonzo Sandoval also quit in 1988.
