Anne Frank attended the Sixth Montessori School in Amsterdam from school year 1935-36 until school year 1940-41. Edith wrote to Gertrud Naumann on 26 March 1935: ' Denk dir: heute muss ich Anne für die Schule anmelden; sie wird wohl weiter in der Montessori Schule bleiben.' [1] Later she writes: ' Anne kommt erst im August in die Schule.'
