People! was an American one-hit wonder rock band that was formed in San Jose, California in 1965. Their greatest chart success came with their summer hit single "I Love You".
When high school pals Larry Norman and Gene Mason both sounded outstanding at an audition, Hunter suggested the band use both as frontmen. The rest of the classic People lineup would include guitarist Geoff Levin, Albert Ribisi on keyboards, bassist Robb Levin and drummer Denny Fridkin.
Al Ribisi Jr. joined the band in 1965 and was an original member. He played keyboards and guitar. He recorded on the singles and albums. He left the group in 1970 to work at Celebrity Centre in L.A. He declined to work with the group in 2017. He had not been in the music field for more than two decades.
