Martha and the Vandellas, American soul-pop vocal group that challenged the Supremes as Motown Records’ premier female group in the 1960s. Their biggest hit was ‘Dancing in the Street.’ Other popular songs included ‘Come and Get These Memories,’ ‘Nowhere to Run,’ ‘I’m Ready for Love,’ and ‘Jimmy Mack.’
