7 de dic. de 2022 · The immaterial human mind, as Aquinas understands it, is not just the intellect. The mind is an ensemble of three discrete powers, agent and possible intellect working in conjunction with the will.
The central subject of Aquinas' s philosophy of mind is what he calls ratio- nal soul (anima rationalist far more often than he calls it mind (mens). This apparently trivial fact about his terminology has theoretical implications.3 Aquinas's philosophy of mind can be understood only in the context of his more general theory of soul, which naturally makes use of many features his metaphysics.
