Benediction are a British death metal band formed in 1989. [1] Their first album, Subconscious Terror, was released in 1990. [2] Their latest album as of 2023, Scriptures, was released in 2020.

Benediction fue formada en febrero de 1989 por Paul Adams quien tocaba el bajo, Peter Rew y Darren Brookes la guitarra y Mark Greenway como vocalistas. Con el demo The Dreams You Dread, lanzado en el mismo año, atrajeron la atención de Nuclear Blast Records, con los cuales inmediatamente firmaron contrato.
Hoy en día Benediction está formado por Darren Brookes (guitarra), Peter Rewinsky (guitarra), Frank Healy (bajo), Neil Hutton (batería) y Dave Hunt (voz). Benediction es una de las bandas más representativas del death metal, por ello, ha tocado en importantes festivales en todo el mundo.
