18 de jun. de 2019 · The extended timeline of my ICElab commission allowed me to ask questions and explore hunches. It’s a giant sandbox. I came in the early rehearsals with a million questions, and we spent multiple sessions over the course of 18+ months, sharing ideas, exploring possibilities.
Bio. Carla Kihlstedt composer, collaborator, violinist, singer, improviser, educator and instigator. Her musical voice is grounded in the economy and immediacy of song form, which allows her to explore complex worlds – the ocean, dreams, imaginary creatures, the machine age, quarantine – through many different lenses.
