Women’s Studies provides a forum for the presentation of scholarship and criticism about women in the fields of literature, history, art, sociology, law, political science, economics, anthropology and the sciences. It also publishes poetry, film and book reviews.
Women's Studies, also referred to as Gender Studies or Feminist Studies, is the interdisciplinary study of how intersectionality of gender, race, age, class, nationality, ethnicity, ability, sexuality, and other differences impact almost every facet of the social, political, and cultural experience.
WGS offers Harvard undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to study gender and sexuality from the perspective of fields in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. Faculty members are closely involved with students’ academic development at every stage of the concentration.
