The Home of Dark Butterflies (Finnish: Tummien perhosten koti) is a 2008 Finnish film directed by Dome Karukoski and starring Niilo Syväoja, Tommi Korpela, Kristiina Halttu and Kati Outinen. The film is an adaptation of the award-winning novel of the same name by Leena Lander.

sinopsis. Juhani tiene 14 años y vive angustiado y oprimido por una experiencia traumática de su infancia. Tras ir de familia en familia de acogida durante seis años, Juhani termina en un hogar para chicos, La Isla. La institución está a cargo del superintendente Olavi Harjula, que aplica sin piedad sus leyes y normas.
