r/AmericanAuthors. • 3 yr. ago. 0verjoyed. Any info on James leaving the band? I've noticed that James Adam Shelley has seemingly been missing from the band's social media posts for quite a long time now (since late 2019 or early 2020?), and he's no longer listed in the band's bio on Instagram.
Former member includes guitarist and banjoist James Adam Shelley. They are best known for their hit singles " Believer " and " Best Day of My Life ", from their debut album, Oh, What a Life , as well as their top 20 hit " Go Big or Go Home ", from their second album, What We Live For .

James is a founding member of the alt-rock band American Authors who he played banjo and several other instruments with. They are known for energetic and uplifting sons about life, such as "Best Day of My Life" and "Believer" off their debut album Oh, What a Life.
