Hellfire Generation: The Ghost Rider’s being is fueled by a mystical element known as hellfire - a supernatural flame that scorches and purifies the wicked souls of mortals and immortals, and can also cauterize their physical body.
Hellfire is a supernatural flame which sears the soul and burns the flesh of an individual. It is a power wielded by the Ghost Rider and various other supernatural entities like the Witch Woman. Hellfire has been described as both cold and hot, depending on its use.
Kowalski was originally depicted with a red head flame like other Ghost Riders, and was only given a green flaming head on a cover. All subsequent appearances give him a green flame.
