Rodney Terence Argent (born 14 June 1945) is an English musician. In a career spanning more than 50 years, Argent came to prominence in the mid-1960s as the keyboardist, founder and leader of the rock band the Zombies, [1] and went on to form the band Argent after the first break-up of the Zombies. [2]
Led by keyboardist/vocalist Rod Argent and vocalist Colin Blunstone, the group had their first British and American hit in 1964 with "She's Not There". In the US, two further singles—" Tell Her No " in 1965 and " Time of the Season " in 1968—were also successful.
"Hold Your Head Up" is a song by the English rock band Argent, first released as a single in 1971. The song was a Top 5 hit in the US, the UK, and the Canadian charts, peaking at No. 5 in all three countries. However, it was the band's only song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.

31 de mar. de 2010 · Argent fitted somewhere in-between – but more by accident than design. “In the late 60s a lot of bands were pushing boundaries; everything seemed to be possible,” says Rod Argent. “I personally loved Cream. I also remember being knocked out the first time I heard The Nice play America.
Rod Argent, meanwhile, played a Hammond L100, which produced the first keyboard stab heard in the opening verse of ‘Time Of The Season’. Later in the song, given the freedom of extra tracks, he overdubbed a second Hammond solo over his initial one.
