Christopher Columbus High School is a public secondary school located in the Pelham Parkway section of the Bronx, New York City. It is within walking distance from the Bronx Zoo and the New York Botanical Garden. It currently enrolls over 2000 students in grades 9 through 12.
The massive Christopher Columbus High School building, renamed the Christopher Columbus Educational Campus after the original school closed in 2014, has been divided into small schools in an effort to improve attendance, graduation rates and safety.

Admission to Christopher Columbus High School as a freshman is based on the student's performance on the Columbus Entrance Exam, his most recent grades and standardized test scores. The application process begins in September when the school starts to accept applications for the entrance exam which takes place in December.
