1 de dic. de 2017 · Hotsy Totsy Gang 1930 has all of the sessions that Mills led from Oct. 1929 until the end of 1930 plus the slightly earlier “At The Prom” and the five numbers by McHugh’s Bostonians from 1928-29. The music ranges from heated jazz to stirring dance music.
The Hotsy-Totsy Gang records made under Irving Mills name between 1928 and 1930 assembled some of the greatest White Jazz musicians of the era and often produced spectacular results. Sometimes Mills sang on the records, other times he just arranged the record dates and selected the musicians.
