Ian Shaw (born 2 June 1962) is a Welsh jazz singer, record producer, actor and stand-up comedian. Shaw was born in St. Asaph, Wales, and took his music degree at the University of London. His career in performance began in the 1980s on the alternative cabaret circuit, alongside such performers as Julian Clary, Rory Bremner, and Jo Brand.
Lifejacket is a 2008 studio album by Ian Shaw . Critical reception. Christopher Loudon of JazzTimes noted that Lifejacket was Shaw's first attempt at finding his own voice, saying, "Stylistically, he sounds as if he's shrugged off the surplice, abandoned his pew and trudged through the mud in search of a long night at the nearest pub.
