By the fourth album, Blue Cheer, Paul Whaley had left the band and had been replaced by Norman Mayell, and following the release of the fourth album Bruce Stephens also left the band and was succeeded by Gary Lee Yoder who helped complete the album.

11 de abr. de 2024 · Bruce Stephens walked on to the Columbia University campus in 1974 intending to earn a degree in chemistry to become a pharmacist. And play a little football. He walked off four years later with a degree in economics after they closed the pharmacy school his sophomore year.
29 de ene. de 2018 · Pilot formed in London in 1971 when two ex-members of American hard-rockers Blues Cheer, Bruce Stephens and Leigh Stephens (no relation), teamed with two members of Rod Stewart ‘s backing band: guitarist Martin Quittenton and journeyman blues-rock drummer Mick Waller. Kiwi jazz bassist Neville Whitehead completed the lineup. Discography:
