20 de ene. de 2007 · Purists complain that Wheatstraw was a wholly derivative blues artist. Point granted but so what? This is a heck of a useful anthology which collects many of his most compelling sides. He's famous for repetitive phrasing such as the ubiquitous "Ooooo well, well" that turns up on most of these records.
