The Sorcerer is a live album by Hungarian jazz guitarist Gábor Szabó featuring performances recorded in 1967 for the Impulse! label.
4 de feb. de 2018 · Hungarian guitarist Szabo got his start with drummer Chico Hamilton (who also discovered Eric Dolphy and Charles Lloyd, among others), but was soon off on his own with a unique hybrid of jazz improv and a twang reminiscent of surf guitar.

Gábor Szabó (Budapest, 8 de marzo de 1936 - Budapest, 26 de febrero de 1982), guitarrista húngaro especializado en la fusión de la música folclórica húngara con el jazz. Szabó comenzó a tocar la guitarra a los catorce años tocando en clubes nocturnos y participando en jam sessions mientras vivió en Budapest .
