Aly Bain MBE (born 15 May 1946) is a Scottish fiddler who learned his instrument from the old-time master Tom Anderson. The former First Minister of Scotland Jack McConnell called Bain a "Scottish icon."
One of the best releases to come out in the aftermath was Dublin Lady, which coupled former Wizard frontman Andy M. Stewart with Irishman Manus Lunny, who plays guitars, bouzouki and bodhran, and sings a little, too.
He made his mark with Silly Wizard, and Lunny shines with Capercaillie, but they’ve saved some of their finest moments for Dublin Lady. Featuring Aly Bain on fiddle and Phil Cunningham on accordion and keyboards.
