Gone to Earth is the third solo studio album by English singer-songwriter David Sylvian, released on 1 September 1986 on Virgin Records. A double album, Gone to Earth is the follow-up to his debut record, Brilliant Trees, and peaked at No. 24 in the UK Albums Chart.

David Sylvian - Gone to Earth 2lp (1986) Not my usual cup of tea, but since I'm a vinyl collector I can sometimes buy interesting records for less then a serious cup of coffee, so here it is. To be honest, I bought it because Robert Fripp (of King Crimson fame) and Mel Collins (King Crimson, Camel & others) play along on some tracks.

12 de jul. de 2012 · Silver Moon is het vrolijkste stuk, met een prachtig blazende Mel Collins. Een optimistische opmaat naar het in zichzelf gekeerde tweede gedeelte. Daarin werkt Sylvian in tien prachtige minimale instrumentale stukken samen met gitaristen B.J. Cole, Bill Nelson en Robert Fripp.
