I recorded this show on his birthday so hope he likes the end result. All tracks played have been chosen by Buddy and because of social distancing I have recited the reasons behind his choices.

  2. Brett Ascott known as Buddy, is a British musician, percussionist and record producer best known for his contributions to The Chords and The Fallen Leaves. Self-taught and inspired by The Who's Keith Moon, Brett "Buddy" Ascott began his musical career playing drums with SE London punk band, The Meat at the age of eighteen in 1977.

  3. In his place came Brett "Buddy" Ascott, and by March 1979 The Chords were taking the stage. They gigged continuously over the spring and summer, headlining two mod festivals at London's Marquee Club and recording their first BBC Radio 1 session for DJ John Peel in early July. [1]
