Braids (formerly stylized as BRAIDS) is a Canadian art rock band originating from Calgary, Alberta and based in Montréal, Québec for most of their career. Braids currently consists of Raphaelle Standell-Preston, Austin Tufts and Taylor Smith.

1 de may. de 2015 · Austin Tufts: "It was a pretty long, continuous process over the course of March through August, but the recording and writing process took place at three different locations. One of them was Prescott, Arizona – we spent seven weeks there.

I had been in awe of the band from the first time I had the opportunity to listen to them live on their 2015 tour with Purity Ring.
Austin Tufts: 1. I am a second-generation drummer. I grew up in a very musical household in Calgary, AB. My father is a professional jazz drummer/percussionist, and my mother a lover of music with an amazing voice.
