Louis Daniel Armstrong [a] [b] (Nueva Orleans, 4 de agosto de 1901 [c] -Nueva York, 6 de julio de 1971), también conocido como Satchmo o Pops, fue un trompetista y cantante estadounidense de jazz. Se trata de una de las figuras más carismáticas e innovadoras de la historia del jazz y, probablemente, su músico más popular.
