3 de oct. de 2023 · Sha Na Na, Alan Freed Rock & Roll Is Here to Stay! is the debut album by American doo-wop and rock & roll group Sha Na Na, issued in 1969 and reissued in 1973. This band is famous for being the group that played right before Jimi Hendrix at the Woodstock festival on August 18, 1969.
Sha Na Na performed the song in the 1970 concert film Festival Express, a train tour of Canada by the leading rock musicians of the era, which was released in 2003 as a documentary. The song appeared in John Carpenter 's Christine (1983), based on Stephen King 's novel, and on the soundtrack album.
