Sonic's Rendezvous Band (or SRB) was an American rock and roll band from Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States, forming in 1974, featuring veterans of the 1960s Detroit rock scene. Background. Often referred to as a rock "super group" since some band members formerly played in legendary Detroit rock bands like the MC5, The Stooges and The Rationals .
As the rise of punk rock spawned a new interest in the Detroit rock scene of the ’60s that did so much to inspire the raucous new music, Sonic’s Rendezvous Band began developing an international reputation among forward-thinking rock fans who refused to fade away with the breakup of the group.
