Nardis Music. Formed in 2003 as a partnership between the father-son production team of Ben and Leo Sidran and Liquid8 Records, Nardis Music is a full service label. While many of the releases cover the wide spectrum of Jazz Music, others include World Music, Funk and Electronic.
Nardis" is a composition by American jazz trumpeter Miles Davis. It was written in 1958, during Davis's modal period, to be played by Cannonball Adderley for the album Portrait of Cannonball. The piece has come to be associated with pianist Bill Evans, who performed and recorded it many times.
It was recorded in July 2012, and released in 2013 under Sidran's label Nardis Records in the United States, and Bonsaï Music in France. It was Sidran's 35th studio album, and his first with original tracks since his 2008 album Cien Noches (One Hundred Nights at the Cafe).
