Calling from a Country Phone is the second album by former Go-Between Robert Forster, and his first self-produced disc. Drummer Glenn Thompson would later join Forster and Grant McLennan in a reformed Go-Betweens years later. The album also features Custard frontman David McCormack on lead guitar.
Originally released in 1993 on Beggars Banquet records, ‘Calling From A Country Phone’ has been remastered at Abbey Road, repackaged and reissued by Needle Mythology with brand new artwork featuring previously unseen photographs. The album also features brand new liner notes written by Robert Forster.

En 1993, Forster había regresado a Brisbane para grabar su segundo álbum en solitario, Calling from a Country Phone, en Sunshine Studios con miembros del grupo de pop local Custard.
