Richie Ranno is guitarist of Starz & Richie Ranno’s All-Stars. From the NY metropolitan area, he has a long history in the music business. In 1973 he joined the band, Stories whose hit Brother Louie went to the top of the charts – that’s right, #1 in Billboard magazine.
Taking a moment to relent from his stage antics, Richie Ranno dialed in with ClassicRockHistory.com to recount the ten albums that changed his life. # 10 – The Cult, Sonic Temple. Certainly, one of my favorite rock albums. Did it change my life? Not really, but I still listen to it, and when The Cult comes to the area, I’m always there to see them.
After Richie Ranno joined as second guitarist in September 1975, keyboardist Gonsky departed, and by late 1975, Fallen Angels's name had changed once again to Starz. Lurie appeared as a solo artist with "Your Love Song," an entry on Billboard 's "Easy Listening" chart in 1974. Sweval died on January 23, 1990, [3] having succumbed to AIDS. [4] [5]
