St Thomas' Hospital is a large NHS teaching hospital in Central London, England. Administratively part of the Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, together with Guy's Hospital, Evelina London Children's Hospital, Royal Brompton Hospital and other sites.
He enrolled as a medical student at St Thomas's Hospital mainly to escape from his uncle and also to live in London. From his teens his sole ambition was to be a writer: medicine did not interest him.
14 de may. de 2020 · The St Thomas’s Historical Collection comprises the pre-1901 holdings of the St. Thomas’s Hospital Medical School. These include, for the most part, the textbooks and periodicals which were used by medical students from the 18th century onwards.
Developing from a hospice run by monks, St Thomas’ Hospital developed on one side of St Thomas’ Street in Borough at the southern end of the old London Bridge, and in due course, Mr Thomas Guy established his hospital on the other side of the street.
