Announcements. Students in Hillsborough County Public Schools soared to new academic heights in 2023 according to the latest high school rankings from U.S. News & World Report. Two district schools appear in the top 50 in Florida on the newly released Best High Schools report, while ALL high schools appear in the overall national rankings.
Lynn Gray was elected to the Hillsborough County School Board, representing countywide District 7, in 2016. She served as Chair of the School Board in 2021. She is one of seven members responsible for making policy decisions and overseeing a total budget of $3.3 billion for the 7th largest school district in the nation, which is also the county’s largest employer with more than 24,000 employees.
