17 de mar. de 2023 · The National Nordic Museum presents FLÓÐ (Flood) by Jónsi (Jón Þór Birgisson), lead singer of the world-famous Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós. Created specifically for the Museum, the artwork is the focus of Jónsi’s first museum exhibition in the United States.

Jónsi has had solo exhibitions at the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) in Tasmania; the National Nordic Museum, Seattle; and the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto. Born in Iceland in 1975, Jón Þór "Jónsi” Birgisson, lives and works in Los Angeles.

Jón Þór " Jónsi " Birgisson ( pronounced [ˈjouːn ˈθouːr ˈpɪrcɪsɔn, ˈjounsɪ] ⓘ; born 23 April 1975) is an Icelandic musician; he is the vocalist and multi-instrumentalist for the Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós. He is known for his use of a cello bow on guitar and his "angelic" falsetto [1] or countertenor [2] voice.
