Since 1964 he has exhibited extensively, including solo and group shows in Ireland, England, Portugal and the USA. This website archives an artistic journey of over fifty years. For many years Tim has worked in series, often spending three or four years on one subject.

Since 2014, more ethereal and philosophical concepts have found their way in Goulding’s work. Energetic particles, veins, threads and used textile surfaces are materialised in art, all while being accompanied by sparse poems nodding to Japanese wabi-sabi and calligraphy focusing on self-realisation and the journey it represents.

Born in Dublin in 1945, Tim Goulding was educated at Winchester College. He was awarded a two-year scholarship to study Textile Design at the State School of Art in Stockholm.
