Butch Hancock (born July 12, 1945, in Lubbock, Texas) is an American country recording artist and songwriter. He is a member of The Flatlanders along with Joe Ely and Jimmie Dale Gilmore, but he has principally performed solo.
12 de ene. de 2007 · This was Texas songwriter-sage Butch Hancock's second Sugar Hill collection on Sugar Hill. The quirky tunes mostly came from his own Rainlight Records releases during the 1970s and 80s. Some were Hancock solo while others featured a full band.
This compilation presents a somewhat unusual collection of Hancock's work. He is a great and often underrated songwriter. His singing voice is probably an acquired taste but he adds much to some of his best songs.
