Dieselhed are back! Well, a presence on the internet, anyway. That’s right, this is no official site for the awesome band from Northern California, just some fan site…. Dieselhed were a San Francisco-based band, originally from Arcata, California.
Dieselhed was a San Francisco –based band, originally from Arcata, California. [1] Early career. Dieselhed formed in 1989 in Arcata, California later moving to San Francisco, California, playing a blend of country, punk, and pseudo-classic rock. [2] .
Dieselhed formed in 1989 and soon built a loyal following in the San Francisco Bay Area with their unique blend of country, punk, and pseudo-classic rock. Drummer Heifetz budgeted his time between Dieselhed and the genre-bending experimentalists Mr. Bungle.
A real smorgasborg of sounds and styles. On Dieselhed’s self-titled debut, the band introduces the listener to their good ol’ countryfied-punk rock & roll. There are lots of roaming bass, guitar, and violin lines, with group-sung verses and choruses.
For reasons unknown, I’d remembered the address for the Brown Dragon-era Dieselhed website – it had ~tubesox in it – and surprisingly I found it works on the Wayback Machine. So too the original Dieselhed.com website from 1998-2001, or thereabouts.
