Charles Hardin Holley, más conocido como Buddy Holly ( Lubbock, Texas; 7 de septiembre de 1936- Clear Lake, Iowa; 3 de febrero de 1959), 4 2 fue un compositor y cantante estadounidense de mediados de la década de 1950, considerado hoy en día como uno de los pioneros y creadores del Rock and Roll.
Charles Hardin Holley (September 7, 1936 – February 3, 1959), known as Buddy Holly, was an American singer and songwriter who was a central and pioneering figure of mid-1950s rock and roll. He was born to a musical family in Lubbock, Texas, during the Great Depression, and learned to play guitar and sing alongside his siblings.
Although his success lasted only a year and a half before his death in an airplane crash, Holly's works and innovations were copied by his contemporaries and later musicians, notably The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, and exerted a profound influence on popular music.
