Richard Elfman (born March 6, 1949) is an American actor, musician, director, producer, screenwriter, journalist, author and magazine publisher.
Richard Elfman is a multifaceted artist who has directed films such as Forbidden Zone and Bloody Bridget, acted in Oingo-Boingo and The Steve & Crypto Show, and written for Buzzine and Aliens, Clowns & Geeks. He is also a percussionist, food critic, and family member of famous actors and musicians.

Richard Elfman is a director, percussionist and brother of composer Danny Elfman. He founded the band Oingo-Boingo and made the cult film Forbidden Zone.
Richard was born in the Watts district of inner-city Los Angeles. When he was five his family moved to Crenshaw (‘Boyz in the Hood’), where he was exposed to diverse cultural influences, including African and Afro-Cuban percussion, which led to a lifelong musical career.
