Short Back 'n' Sides is the fifth studio album by Ian Hunter. He collaborated with Mick Jones, fellow Clash member Topper Headon, as well as Todd Rundgren and Ellen Foley. In 1995, Chrysalis released a 2 CD set with a remastered version of the album and bonus CD with outtakes of the Chrysalis period.

The only original member, lead visionary Mick Jones, almost literally had to be wheeled out to play the few songs he sat in on. While they of course filled the stage with competent musicians slogging through Cold as Ice and Urgent, the whole thing was just … sad.

Hunter's first studio album of the 1980s was Short Back 'n' Sides (1981), produced in collaboration with Ronson and Clash guitarist Mick Jones. Ronson's input on Hunter's next album, All of the Good Ones Are Taken (1983), was restricted to playing guitar on a single track.
15 de ago. de 2020 · In between “Sandanista!” and “Combat Rock,” Mick Jones willed Ian Hunter back into the studio and asked Mick Ronson, Topper Headon (The Clash), Todd Rundgren and many others to join. Ian Hunter may not have needed reclaiming, but Mick Jones was going to do it anyhow.
