2 de nov. de 2018 · Released on Wild Billy Childish's Hangman label in 1991., this collection of Downliners Sect's 60's tunes was my very first contact with legendary ''Deerstalking'' rockers.
Downliners Sect are an English R&B and blues-based rock band, formed in the 1960s beat boom era. Stylistically, they were similar to blues-based bands such as The Yardbirds, The Pretty Things and the Rolling Stones, playing basic R&B on their first album The Sect.
Compilations of the Downliners Sect’s 60’s material can be heard on ‘The Birth of Suave’ (Hand of Glory Records), ‘The Definitive Downliners Sect A’s and B’s’ (See for Miles Records) and ‘The Sect/The Rock Sect’s In’ (See For Miles Records).
