The Chimes (later Lenny Cocco & the Chimes) were an American doo wop group from Brooklyn. [1] The Original Chimes from 1960. The group came together under the direction of lead singer Lenny Cocco in the mid-1950s. [1]
Their best known songs, "Once In Awhile" (1960) and "I'm In The Mood For Love" (1961), are both Top 40 hit remakes of 1930s pop standards.
