Attending our Military Academy does not mean you’re required to join the military after graduation. While many St. John’s Northwestern graduates are admitted to the five military service academies, most advance to the colleges, universities, and professional schools of their choice.
St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy tailors academic instruction to each student’s needs and abilities. Cadets learn the importance of service before self, gain valuable life lessons through athletic competition, and have ample opportunities for leadership.
In 1995, Northwestern Military and Naval Academy (NMNA) in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, merged with St. John's Military Academy to become St. John's Northwestern Military Academy on the Delafield campus. In 2020, a Leadership Academy was added and the combined schools became St. John's Northwestern Academies.
