Pezband was an American power pop band, formed in 1971 in the Chicago suburb of Oak Park, Illinois, United States. The ensemble began in the fall of 1971 when four Oak Park musicians teamed up to jam on covers of songs by The Yardbirds, Kinks and Peter Green-era Fleetwood Mac.
Arriving at the height of the power-pop era, Pezband’s debut is full of Beatlesque melodies filtered down through good ol’ American rock & roll. While often mining in the same area as the Raspberries before them, Pezband manages to add a breath of fresh air to these twelve great cuts.
